When lord Krishna went into Yamuna River for getting their Playing Ball back they saw A Black Cobra Snake which is called Kalia Nag. This Nag attacked on Lord Krishna but Lord Krishna defeated this Kalia Nag and get him out of the River and also from Village. kalia Nag Surrender himself to Lord Krishna and Promise that he will never Hurt anybody from Now.
This Way Lord Krishna forgive Kalia Nag and after that day Every Year Nag Panchami started to Be celebrated. In India Nag are worshiped also because of they are lovable by Lord Shiva. This way Hindu Devotees Worship Nag and celebrate Nag Panchami Festival Every Year.
