Gurudwara shri bangla sahib



The history of this Gurudwara is quite rich. It is said that during the tenure of Mirza Raja Jai Singh of Amber (Jaipur) in 1664, the Eighth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Harkishan Sahib used to stay here as a guest and later offered treatment to the people suffering from smallpox and cholera.(chechak and heija)
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, dedicated to Guru Sri Harkishan, the eighth Sikh Guru, has an immense sacred value for Sikh Community. Located in the heart of Delhi i.e. Connaught Place, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib has a notable golden dome with a sculpted bronze cupola and also a tall flagpole called as Nishan Sahib.

If you wants use accomodation in hall you can use free of costs but if you wants to use room accomodation you have to pay some amount accordingly gurudwara defined charges.

TRAVELERS TIPS :
1 Wear scarf, dupatta or handkerchief on head as it is compulsory to cover you head in gurudwara premises.

2 Put your shoes outside the main hall.

3 Wear decent clothes.

4 Photography is prohibited inside hall.

Best thing in gurudwara you can enjoy karah Prasad and guru ka langar inside gurudwara. (sacramental food)
