Mahabodhi Temple located in Bodh Gaya (Bihar). This Mahabodhi temple has rich history thus hold major importance in Buddism.

This is the temple where Mahatama Buddha got enlightenment (pure knowledge) under a tree which is later named bodhi tree. This bodhi temple is worshipable by both Buddism and Hinduism.

Bodh gaya is very popular in Buddhism because of historical place in city.The temple was built by Maurya Ruler Ashoka. The temple is 180 feet inI Height. There is yel itlow statue  of Buddha inside Mahabodhi temple.

The is first temple built by maurya ruler ashoka with bricks and still it's standing in same situation that reflects perfect architecture example of maurya empire in ancient India.
